paradox

I’ll be coming back to this one, but today’s advent study, virgin… a few quotes taken from this one. All Scott Erickson’s words, missing some words in between.

“Throughout our lives, we will encounter paradox-two seemingly contradictory truths existing in the same space and time. Like a catch-22… at the heart of Christ story is a mystery. Jesus being fully God and fully human. Yet that mystery was birthed out of another paradoxical mystery—one where the finite and Infinite wove together salvation in the belly of a Middle Eastern young woman.”

“And that’s okay… because the function of a paradox is not to find the solution to seemingly opposing truths, but to be transformed by living in the middle mystery in them.”

I don’t know if people still use the terms “mic drop,” or “boom,” but I believe they would apply here.

being transformed in the middle. Not much ease in those words, but a whole lot of truth.
